The 100 Most Influential People in Fashion

I found this article on the net. Really caught my attention! heh. I have to blog about this I told myself. :D I'm not going review all 100. Are you freaking kidding me? 100! Maybe take up a few of my favourites.

Lets get it started shall we?

1. Levi Strauss

Its all basic and its number one! Levis is the king of jeans quality. Even when you're old its stay the way it is. Good Quality and it deserve to be number 1. I don't own a Levis and if I'm afford to buy one, trust me. I will ! Maybe I want own me two Levis! CHEH!

Levi Strauss & Co. is still around and kicking as hard as ever. In the 1950s and '60s, subcultures of young people (the hippies and punks) popularized jeans, which continue to sell well into the 21st century. Denim made the leap to high fashion about thirty jeans ago, when Calvin Klein began marketing his extremely popular designer jeans. Now jeans are a staple on both catwalks and sidewalks worldwide, offered in thousands of cuts and colors to match just about anyone's personal sense of style.

2. Hubert de Givenchy

Everyone love Hudrey Hepburn don't we? The way she dress up and the important question, THE DRESS SHE IS WEARING? hehehehehe. Yeah! Hubert de Givenchy is behind Audrey Hepburn elegant dress. Ohhhhh... His the man!

The perfectly-cut, feminine dresses and gowns are ubiquitous on movie posters adorning the walls of young women, and the Audrey Hepburn little black dress and pearls has been imitated so many times it's practically a costume. The House of Givenchy still thrives, and still clothes Hollywood's finest.

Famous people like Natalie Portman is a fan!

3. Coco Chanel

Coco Chanel is famous with her signature pearls and black dress. and not to mention the classic cut suits. The ones she is wearing. She lived a difficult life. She was an orphanage when she was seven according to the article. Thats tooo sad. She has talent. Her line now is famous down the runway baby!

These days Karl Lagerfeld has updated the classic Chanel look so that the house is more adaptable to fashion-forward styles and trends, like the picture on the right. If you'd rather stick with the original, choose simple, well-tailored cuts and colors, loads of pearls, and above all, make sure you are comfortable.

4. Louis Vuitton

That famous bag. You must be rich then you can own that bag. That Louis Vitton Bag. Damn, the name itself sound famous and rich. If not, forget about buying fake goods. Cause it aint good enough! nyahas!

The Louis Vuitton legacy is, in a word, vast. Georges Vuitton introduced as many as 70 new designs, and the company expanded from luggage into handbags, accessories, and clothing. Art Director Marc Jacobs has breathed a new energy into the classic but tired brand, creating the legendary graffiti bag (a leap from the traditional LV image) and partnering with Takashi Murakami for the new, brightly-colored monogram bags. Jacobs even introduced a Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear clothing collection in 1997. It seems like every celebrity in Hollywood's history has had an LV luggage collection, along with anyone else wealthy enough to afford it. The LVMH powerhouse is synonymous with luxury, and the classic creations will never go out of style - especially not with Jacobs behind the scenes.

Its all CELEBRITIES F A S H I O N !

8. Elvis Presley

Its Elvis, Elvis Presley. The girls wanna date him, Boys wanna be him. He is the legend. Rest in peace, Mr Elvis. You know you famous!

Elvis, the later years, was a bedazzled, kitschy caricature of a pop-culture monster: Over-weight, drugged up and paranoid. As a Halloween costume, Fat Elvis probably second behind Dracula in all time popularity. But the young Elvis is a thing of legend. Notes director Steve Binder: "I'm straight as an arrow and I got to tell you, you stop, whether you're male or female, to look at him. He was that good looking. And if you never knew he was a superstar, it wouldn't make any difference; if he'd walked in the room, you'd know somebody special was in your presence."

29. Madonna

The material girl is already 50 over. She still look stunning. The Body that guys still chasing after. Her fashion statement is sometimes we don't get it but she is unique and people like different. Keep it up girl.

When you’re the highest grossing female recording artist and actually pass Elvis Presley in most top 10 hits in history, your legacy more or less writes itself. In the late 1990s, Madonna began following the Kabbalah and its head, Rabbi Philip Berg. In 2004, she donated $21 million to its Kabbalah school for children. In 2004, she donated $21 million to its Kabbalah school for children. Anything she touches is instantly popular (Britney Spears just copied Madonna's stage costume piece-for-piece for a Good Morning America appearance).

38. Barbie

You didnt see things wrong. She may be a doll. Can you see what she's wearing? She is worth a billion dollars baby! Well, thanks to the owner of course. Mattel fashion designer Charlotte Johnson. Girls love her! I remembered I once was so mad at my mum for not buying me this doll when I was younger. I insisted her to buy them one for me. Hey, I love looking at it. Playing Dress!! I miss those days! I'm thinking of buying them soon. hehehehe....

The best selling doll in history is not only a living “icon” but immortal, and her ability to keep up with the times relies only on the multi-million dollar Mattel marketing team. Barbie was banned in Saudi Arabia in 2003 by the Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice to said, “Jewish Barbie dolls, with their revealing clothes and shameful postures, accessories and tools are a symbol of decadence to the perverted West. Let us beware of her dangers and be careful.” Even still, Ruth Handler nailed it on the head when she speculated that adolescent children emulate adults and, given the chance, would love to start their experimentation with fashion early.

56. Andre 3000

I personal think Andre 3000 is the best dressed for guys apart from Kanye West. His music is not bad either. Its really unique. Love it! Calling all guys if your inspirational dressing is from Andre 3000. Can I date you? hahahahaha. I'm just saying. Who doesnt like it when their man looks sooo good. :D

In 2008, Andre released his own clothing line, Benjamin Bixby, a 70-piece collection that seems to tell stories as much as it does outfit its wearer. If it weren’t for the line’s hip-hop roots, one might call it “dandy clothes.” It basically takes hip-hop’s long-time fascination with preppy style and puts a big purple waist coat and riding boots on it. But in a good way.

82. Gwen Stefani

I'm just jealous of her children. booohooo! Period.

Gwen's "very done" look helped change the direction of rock fashion. Grunge began to fall out of fashion, thanks to Gwen and her high-octane stage antics. Sure, rockers still wore Doc Martens, but they could look pretty and girly while doing it. The ever-imitated singer is now looked to as a harbinger of the trends to come.
